After a long day, the first thing you see when you get home is your entryway. This space often gets busy and cluttered easily with jackets, bags and other belongings. Use our tips below to keep this space clear and welcoming!
Durable rug
Adorn your entry with a durable entryway rug that can last the comings and goings of your household. Not only will the rug create a homier appearance, it will protect your floors from constant traffic of family and guests.
Add an entryway bench + coat rack
To prevent jackets and shoes from piling up in the entry, add an entryway bench and coat rack so you always have a place to hang up and tuck away belongings. The bench also serves as a seat, which can be especially helpful when taking shoes on and off.
Favorite photos + artwork
Decorate the walls of your entryway with family photographs or artwork that are uniquely you. That way every time you step through your front door, you are welcomed with the things you love most.
A candle
Add a candle to your entryway. Candles create a softened and calming atmosphere that will welcome you home. If you don't want a lit candle in the entry, substitute a LED flameless candle in a holder for a similar effect.
Baskets, trays + bins
Don’t forget to add organization essentials! Baskets are an organizers best friend. Use them to store shoes, fitness gear, and other items. Set a tray on the entryway bench to collect mail and keys. If you live in a rainy area, have a designated bin to place wet and weathered items, like umbrellas, especially during the winter months.
